Background: It snowed the day this was published. Though not a whole lot, and not nearly enough to get class cancelled. (The only time Duke cancelled classes for snow while I was there was when there was a sheet of ice covering the campus. Teachers complained because they couldn't get to campus, and people were breaking limbs on the stairs outside. And, even then, they simply made class "optional".)
