Background: Heh. This actually happened.

My neighbor (and frequent source of ideas) Bob had spent a couple of months playing Tex Murphy: Under a Killing Moon. One night, I strolled into his dorm room to see what he was doing. He was on the phone while playing the game. He pulled back from the computer, and the next move in the game seemed blisteringly obvious. I pointed at the monitor, he motioned that it was okay, so I made the move. Suddenly, the screen goes black, and the end-of-the-game video starts playing. We were both stunned. It was hilarious. (He gave me grief about it for weeks.)
